Gardening & Estate Maintenance Operative

A strong knowledge of plants and horticulture is an advantage, but we recognise that this can be developed through experience and training. If you have a passion for gardening, please review our criteria below before submitting your application.

The work will include but not be limited to:

Border and bed maintenance, including weeding, planting and general care.
Lawn maintenance, including grass cutting, edging, feeding and renovation.
Hedge trimming, both regular and more ornamental.
General garden maintenance and presentation.
Pruning, trimming and training of plants.
Garden clearance and seasonal work.
Sweeping, leaf blowing and maintenance of hard surfaces, paths and garden furniture.
Maintenance and cleaning of water features and irrigation systems.
Safe operation of gardening machinery, subject to training.
Developing knowledge of plants, their care and seasonal requirements.
Working as part of a team to maintain and improve gardens and estates across Kent and Sussex to a high standard.
Where appropriate, taking responsibility for the management and day-to-day maintenance of individual gardens or areas.

Landscaping Operative

Previous experience in landscaping, building, construction or joinery is important for this role. If you are practical, hands-on and enjoy working outdoors, please review our criteria below before submitting your application.

The work will include but not be limited to:

Paving.
Brick and Stonework.
Woodwork and Joinery.
Groundworks.
Drainage.
Working with laser levels.
Operating Machinery (excavators, dumpers, track-barrows, loaders etc).
